The speed with which patients are crashing and dying from the novel coronavirus COVID-19 is shocking even veteran medical professionals. According to Reuters, doctors are scrambling to figure out how to stop such sudden deterioration. Diana Torres is a nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. New York is the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic in the US, where the virus has infected more than 415,000. [Patients] look fine, feel fine, then you turn around and they’re unresponsive.
