Why Kamala Harris Failed?

2019-12-05 01:09:17

Sen. Kamala Harris' dropped out of the 2020 Democratic presidential election on Tuesday. Business Insider says Harris was once considered a 2020 frontrunner. She faced discouraging polling numbers, reports of financial struggle, infighting, and turmoil within her campaign team. She launched her campaign in front of a crowd of 20-thousand people. Then, it all fell apart. Her first misstep was when she said she would ban private insurance companies. That plan was seen as too extreme. She backtracked but the blowback was severe. After that initial mistake, she became vague on policy. She caused controversy by saying she wanted to extend the school day to 5 or 6pm nationally. Her experience as a prosecutor turned off black voters. As a prosecutor she ruthlessly jailed parents of kids who cut school. What's worse, she could not or would not defend any of the policies she made as Attorney General. In fact she often dodged questions about her controversial decisions as prosecutor and Attorney General.
