A commemorative Cleveland Indians Jackie Robinson day hat has been removed from the MLB online store. The controversy is centered around the use of the racist Chief Wahoo mascot logo being displayed on a hat that is supposed to be honoring civil rights pioneer Jackie Robinson. The racist logo alongside a patch honoring the man who integrated baseball sparked outrage. The MLB has pulled the offensive hat from the team's online store. The Indians said they will completely remove the racist logo from their uniform in 2019.
