President Trump Declares "Mission Accomplished" In U.S. Led Syrian Strike

Friday evening the U.S. announced airstrikes had been carried out, in collaboration with British and French forces. According to Pentagon officials the strikes are said to have crippled Syria’s chemical weapons program and all missiles launched successfully hit their targets. President Donald Trump declared “Mission Accomplished" describing the 105 missiles that had been launched overnight in retaliation for a suspected poison gas attack in Syria. The mission targeted three chemical weapons facilities, including a research and development in Damascus’ Barzeh district and two facilities near Homs, Pentagon officials said.
