President Trump responded “No.” on Thursday when asked if he was aware of the payment made by his attorney to silence adult film star Stormy Daniels. That was the first time the president commented on the $130,000 payment made by Michael Cohen. Trump was then asked “if there was no truth to her allegations.” The president responded in saying “you’ll have to ask Michael Cohen.” Trump’s lack of knowledge of the payment fits into Daniels’ theory, that Trump never signed the agreement. EC is the only party other than Daniels who signed the agreement. However, the argument also works when applied to different principles of contract law. That the “and/or” provision of the contract mean that either Trump or EC could enforce it against Daniels.
