'Highly likely' That Russia Poisoned Former Spy And Daughter

British Prime Minister Theresa May said in a strongly worded statement on Monday, that Russia was “highly likely” responsible for the attempted murder of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. May noted that the “military grade” nerve agent which was used in the attack was identified as Novichok. Novichok is a deadly substance developed in the Soviet Union. May said that the Russian ambassador had been asked to explain whether the attack was “direct action by the Russian state” or if the Russian government had lost control of its stock nerve agents. The Skripals were believed to have been deliberately targeted. Sergei and his daughter remain in critical condition in a hospital.
