Bradley Manning Trial Turns to Guantanamo Detainee Records

Pfc. Bradley Manning's trial, the Army private who sent troves of classified documents to WikiLeaks, enters its sixth day at Fort Meade, near Baltimore. Prosecutors plan to present evidence about more than 700 Guantanamo Bay detainee assessment briefs the former intelligence analyst has acknowledged leaking in March 2010. WikiLeaks published the documents on its website a month later.

United States scales back plans for Guantanamo prosecutions

Support growing to close Guantanamo prison

Republican Senator John McCain says that there is increasing public support for closing the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and moving detainees to a facility on the U.S. mainland.
