The issue of DACA still remains unresolved despite Democrats agreeing to a plan that again stopped a temporary government shut down last week. On Sunday in an interview on “Meet the Press” Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz. –a senator that has been trying to produce a bipartisan compromise shared his hope that the Senate would pass legislation with 65 to 70 votes. “I still think that if we put a good bill to the president, that has the support of 65, 70 members of the Senate, that the president will accept it and the House will like it as well." According to NBC news online Sen. Flake would like to present an immigration proposal that would bridge the gap between what President Trump and Senate Republicans want included in a final immigration proposal.
