According to the Justice Department, the Chelsea bomber has been sentenced to life in prison.
Ahmad Khan Rahimi was convicted last October on 8 counts related to a bombing in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood during late 2016.
At least 30 people were injured by the explosion.
The 30-year-old Rahimi was taken into custody shortly after the bombing, following a shootout with police.
The Afghan-born U.S. citizen was captured in New Jersey.
