At Least Two Dead, 70 Injured In South Carolina Train Wreck

On Sunday, an Amtrak passenger train collided with a CSX freight train, killing at least two people on board and injuring at least 70 in the railroad's third fatal crash in just a few months. In a statement, the railroad said that “The lead engine was derailed, as well as some passenger cars." South Carolina Emergency Management Division said that the “The injuries range from cuts and bruises to severe broken bones, and all the injured have been transported to local hospitals.” Police said that the Red Cross was assisting passengers off the train.
