Mayor Bill de Blasio Announces Opioid Lawsuit

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that New York City has filed a sweeping lawsuit to address a growing opioid epidemic.
New York's mayor added the suit seeks to recoup upwards of $500 million that city has spent handling opioid use.
The lawsuit names several companies as defendants that are involved with the manufacturing and distribution of prescription opioids.
Specifically the suit names Allergan, Johnson & Johnson, Purdue Pharma, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries as manufacturers.
The distributors include AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, and McKesson Corp.
