The final pages of the notebook of Zainab Amin are a poignant reminder of a life cut short. The rape and murder of Zainab has prompted outrage in Pakistan. The diary entry reads “my self, I am a girl, My name is Zainab, my father’s name is Amin, I am 7 years old, I live in Kasur. Angry protests broke out Wednesday and Thursday with locals accusing the authorities of doing little to protect their children. A spokesman for the government said on Friday that whoever raped and murdered Zainab was involved in other attacks on girls and appears to be a serial killer.
