Trend Micro Says Hackers Targeted Senate Emails

A report from Trend Micro indicates that members of the US Senate were targeted by Russian hackers.
According to the security company, a group known as Fancy Bear began targeting the email systems of some Senators.
The group is believed to be behind the hacks in the Democratic National Committee in 2016.
Trend Micro added that they used a sophisticated combination of social engineering techniques, malware, and exploits to steal data, including phishing scams through emails.
