Vice President Mike Pence has ignored all requests to comment on President Donald Trumps remarks on Thursday where he derided Haiti and African nations as “shithole” countries, and saying the United States should increase immigration to the U.S from countries like Norway. The White House has not denied that the president make the comments in a bipartisan meeting with lawmakers on immigration. Senator Dick Durbin who was present at the meeting said Trump did make the comments. Pence who did not attend the meeting was briefed on the remarks Thursday.
