Merkel Without Merkelism To Be Germany's New Norm?

There has been a great deal of uncertainty of what the new governemnt in Germany will look like. The one certainty that exists, though, is that Angela Merkel will be Chancellor again.
But the cornerstones of Merkel's style and principles -- known jokingly in Germany as Merkelism -- have been vastly eroded. Many assume the Chancellor's final term will be lack the luster and might of the first three.
The Chancellor faces fierce attacks on her person and politics from the opposition bolstered by far-right populists. In addition she faces difficulty within her government and even her own party.
