Tom Muxlow an astronomer at Manchester University has announced that a photograph that will reveal the contours of a black hole for the first time is almost here. At the center of our Milky Way galaxy is a supermassive black hole dubbed Sagittarius A which spans a distance of over 27 million miles. In order to take the photograph astronomers have synchronized a network of telescopes around the globe which will be able to capture the black hole with unprecedented detail. Whatever the image reveals it is likely to broaden our questions surrounding the phenomena.
