It's been two years since North and South Korea have met for official talks. On Monday Business Insider published photos of that meeting that took place on January 9th, inside the truce village of Panmunjom. Panmunjom is of great historical significance as it marks the site of the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement in 1953. Panmunjom is the one area of the demilitarized zone where North and South Korean soldiers meet face to face daily, it is also where foreign dignitaries come to get a rare glimpse into North Korea for themselves. Visitors of the site According to PRI, are required to sign a form that says they understand their visits “will entail entry into a hostile area and the possibility of injury or death."
