White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders made the suggestion during Thursday’s press briefing that Breitbart News should consider cutting ties with Steve Bannon. Bannon returned to the news site Breitbart after leaving the White House in August. The former White House chief strategist has been lambasted by the White House due to comments he made that were published in Michael Wolff’s new book “fire and fury.” Bannon disparaged President Trump and his family in a highly reported excerpt from Wolff’s new book. The president has since completely distanced himself from his former aide, going as far as saying that Bannon has “lost his mind”.
