A suspect is in custody after detonated an explosive device in New York City.
According to authorities, a 27-year-old man detonated a pipe bomb strapped to his body at a busy public transit station.
The explosion only managed to injury the bomber and three others.
The New York Fire Department commissioner stated their injuries include lacerations, head aches, and ringing in the ear.
The New York Police Department stated the incident occurred on 42nd Street between 7th and 8th avenue, where a Port Authority bus terminal is located.
Police Commissioner James O’Neill called the bomb a 'low-tech explosive device.'
