Many humans depend on coffee to get started in the morning and now some of London's buses are guzzling the liquid to start their engines. It's not actually coffee going into the buses, but it's a biofuel made from oil extracted from coffee grounds. The project is a collaboration between the recycling firm Bio-bean, Shell, and Argent Energy. Adding the coffee oil to diesel creates a B20 biofuel that reduces CO2 emissions by around 10 to 15 percent compared with traditional mineral diesel, and prevents waste coffee from ending up in landfill where it releases harmful methane.
