A group of established Senate Republicans, led by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, are urging Roy Moore, the party’s Senate candidate in Alabama, to quit the race after a fifth woman has come forward with allegations Moore had sexual contact with teenage girls decades ago. At a New York press conference, Beverly Young Nelson said Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 16 and he was a prosecuting attorney in his 30s. Nelson said that Moore warned her that no one would believe her if she told anyone.
