Although President Donald Trump said he was able to have a "great relationship" with Philippine's president Rodrigo Duterte, a White House official said that the two presidents only briefly mentioned human rights. A brief mention is kind of generous considering that a spokesman for President Duterte said there was no mention at all of either human rights or extra-judicial killings. This meeting took place at the summit of East and Southeast Asian leaders in Manila where human rights groups hoped Trump would bring up all the death that is being caused by Duterte's bloody war on drugs.
