Truck Strikes People in Lower Manhattan, Suspect in Custody

On Tuesday afternoon at least six were reportedly killed and multiple others injured after a truck struck people on the west side of lower Manhattan in New York City. According to local news reports, there were also several shots fired. Authorities say one person is in custody, and there aren't any other suspects. According to witnesses, the truck drove down a bike path on the West Side Highway, hitting multiple people. It then collided with a bus belonging to Stuyvesant High School. Police have since urged residents to stay clear of the area around Chambers Street and West Street.
