According to an NBC News report this week, Donald Trump requested a nearly tenfold increase in the United States' nuclear arsenal during a meeting with his national security advisers in July. The order is what reportedly led Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to call Trump a “moron." On Wednesday, Trump denied the report from NBC, telling reporters that he was instead pushing for modernization of the stockpile. The president went on to add, "We don’t need an increase. But I want modernization and I want total rehabilitation. It’s got to be in tip-top shape."
