If you've ever wondered who makes better surgeons--men or women--guess what? It doesn't matter at all. According to UPI, a Canadian study has found the gender of a surgeon appears to have little to do with the outcome of an operation. The study revealed that patients operated on by women had no more problems after surgery than did patients whose surgeons were men. There were no significant differences in complications or readmission rates among the patients treated by women and those operated on by men.
