Serena Williams Says She's Not Motivated By Money

Serena Williams may be one of the highest-paid athletes, according to Forbes — and the only woman to crack the top 100 — but she says she's never been motivated by the money. In an interview with "Kneading Dough" she said, "I've actually never played for money — I just thought you would go out there and hold a trophy." It comes as no surprise then that when Williams received her first million-dollar check she kept it safely in the bank. She said, "I never touched [the money] — just put it in the bank."
