Apple TV is going 4K. Apple announced the Apple TV 4K on Tuesday during its annual September event from the new Steve Jobs Theater at its new Apple Park campus. The new Apple TV 4K will be able to stream ultra high definition video, which is sharper than the 1080p resolution from previous Apple TV models. Apple also announced that 4K movies and TV shows will be sold at the same price as their HD counterparts, and that movies that were bought in HD in the past will be automatically upgraded to 4K for free.
