On Tuesday it was reported that the U.S. Department of Justice will not charge six police officers over the fatal injury of a black man back in April 2015. According to the Baltimore Sun, the Department's criminal civil rights investigation into the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray has concluded that no charges were warranted. Gray's death, which occurred after he suffered a fatal spinal injury while being transported in a police van, led to rioting in Baltimore on the day of his funeral. Soon after the incident, prosecutors charged the six police officers in connection but none were convicted.
