The Trump administration on Sunday attempted to update the president’s earlier statement that blamed “many sides” for violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, after his comments were criticized by politicians from both parties. The White House released a statement saying the president condemns violence and hatred, and it said, “of course that includes white supremacists, KKK, neo-Nazis and all extremist groups.” The clashes Saturday in the Virginia college town resulted in three deaths and many injuries.
