On Friday, a member of Hong Kong's Democratic Party spoke out and said he was beaten and "stapled" by mainland agents before being dumped on a beach. Howard Lam, a key pro-democracy activist, said that men took him away, interrogating him and stapling his skin 21 times for being "unpatriotic." He said he was knocked out and later found himself in a beach. This is the latest warning to the democracy movement as tensions between China and Hong Kong continue.
