On Monday Reuters reports that a former police officer who fatally shot a black motorist, will learn on Tuesday whether prosecutors will pursue a third murder trial, after the previous two cases ended in mistrials. A news conference on Tuesday will announce whether his office will pursue a retrial of Ray Tensing for the July 2015 shooting. In both previous trials, Tensing was charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter of Samuel DuBose. Family members of DuBose have urged prosecutors to pursue the third trial.
