Young Lion Rescued From Well in India

A young female lion was recently rescued from an 80-foot well in an Indian village. The incident occurred in Amrapur village, in the Gir Somnath district of Gujarat state. The lion reportedly fell into the pit overnight and was discovered by villagers the next morning. Officials say the lion will be examined by a veterinarian and then released back into the wild.
