U.S.-Led Coalition Shoots Down Syrian Warplane

On Sunday, A Syrian warplane was shot down over Raqqa by a United States-led coalition. This came after Syrian regime SU-22 dropped bombs near Syrian Democratic Force fighters. The statement by the US-led coalition said the Syrian plane was shot down in self-defense. a number of US-backed SDF forces were wounded in an earlier attack. bombs were also dropped near them. The Syrian Armed Forces said one of its warplanes was attacked in the Raqqa countryside. This occurred "while it was carrying out a combatant mission against ISIS terrorist organization."
