Hundreds of supporteres gathered on Thursday in Chicago to celebrate Puerto Rican activist Oscar Lopez Rivera. Lopez Rivera was freed from prison after serving 36 years behind bars for his involvement with the nationalist group FALN, which carried out more than 100 bombings in the 70s and 80s. The 74-year-old was convicted in 1981 on numerous charges. His 70 year sentenced was commuted by former president Barack Obama in January.
