The family of Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaam is questioning the narrative of her unsuspected death.
The 65-year-old was found dead last week floating in the Hudson River by the shore of just a few blocks from her home in Harlem.
But her husband, Reverend Gregory A. Jacobs, stated reports on the nature of her death have only been conjecture, as the investigation into her death is ongoing.
Abdus-Salaam was the first female black judge to sit on the New York Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.
