Donald Trump had some interesting company at the White House on Wednesday when Sarah Palin, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent dropped by for a visit.
The trio was photographed with the president in the Oval Office on Wednesday night, and Palin, former governor of Alaska and former GOP vice presidential nominee, thanked Trump on social media on Thursday morning for the invitation.
"A great night at the White House. Thank you to President Trump for the invite!" she posted on Twitter.
She also posted the same message on Facebook, along with photos from the meet-up.
Nugent also commented on the visit on Facebook, noting that he had dinner with the president to "Make America Great Again." He and the guests also posed next to Hillary Clinton's portrait in a photo posted by his wife, Shemane, which she captioned, "Sarah Palin, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent walk into a bar..."
While Nugent's wife's photo seemed innocent enough, though, it was a photo posted by Palin that got the internet talking. In the picture, Palin and Nugent are visibly mocking the former Democratic presidential candidate and pointing at the portrait, while Rock holds a cross-armed pose and a smirk on his face.
While Palin's fans praised her and posted such things as the infamous anti-Hillary call, "lock her up," other commenters called out the former governor for being "classless" during her White House visit.
"At least Hillary's picture is in the White House," one commenter even quipped.
According to USA Today, there has been talk of Nugent and Kid Rock—whose real name is Robert James Ritchie—running for the Senate in Michigan, though this visit seems unrelated.
