A wildfire near the University of Colorado in Boulder burned through about 62 acres of woodland on Sunday. The massive blaze prompted authorities to urge at least one thousand people to evacuate the drought-hit region. The fire in Sunshine Canyon, which is just outside a university town, started before dawn on Sunday. It is now about 20 percent contained, with no injuries or damage to structures reported, according to the Boulder Emergency Operations Center. A wide swath of northeastern Colorado is under a National Weather Service warning for wildfires.
