According to authorities, a small wildfire burning in the mountains just outside downtown Boulder, Colorado, forced people from their homes early Sunday morning. Gabi Boerkircher, an employee at the Boulder Office of Emergency Management said that more than 1,000 calls were made to residents ordering them to evacuate. She also added that an additional 2,200 were warned to get ready to leave if conditions worsened. According to emergency officials in the area, there are so far no reports of injuries or damage to homes.
