schoolchildren across Japan are learning new drills in preparation for a possible attack. According to CNN, these exercises are intended to prepare children for the scenario of a North Korean missile attack against this country. While Japan has made a concerted diplomatic effort to avoid such an attack, it is not defenseless. The country has use of the Aegis missile defense system, which is aimed at early detection of missile threats. They can also fire interceptors to strike the ballistic missile early in its flight so it can be destroyed when it's near its highest point.
