U.S. State Department is advising against travel to Mexico this spring break. According to Breitbart, the feds have cautioned travel to many popular vacation sports in Mexico because of violence attributed to the quote “activities of criminal organizations.” This “spring break” alert stems from the State Department’s December 2016 Mexico Travel Warning. It classified Mexico as a country with a high potential for kidnapping and violent crime because of a lack of security measures in place for travelers. The State Department says there is no evidence that Americans Are being targeted, but underscores the fact that violence has occured in areas that Americans visit.
