Two in a Half Feet of Snow Hits Maine Town

According to the National Weather Service, 30 inches of snow has struck the Maine town of Cary during the past 24 hours. Cary, which is near the Canadian border, has registered the most snow in the state from the recent storm that it still reportedly active Monday evening. Other towns in Maine, including Dexter, received 28 inches of snow, while the town of Island Falls logged 25 inches. According to a spokesman for Maine Central power, 800 outages have been reported by mid-day Monday with most in the area of Waldo County that was predicted to have the most snow and the fastest winds.
