Michael Moore, Mark Ruffalo, and Alec Baldwin are among a group of celebrities planning to hold a rally in New York City in front of Trump International Hotel on the Thursday evening before Inauguration Day.

Moore and event organizers announced the event over the weekend. They expect thousands of New Yorkers to attend the rally, which has been put together by groups like Greenpeace and liberal activist organization MoveOn.

"Mark Ruffalo, Alec Baldwin & myself will be holding a massive rally in NYC in front of Trump International Hotel this Thursday, 6pm! Come!" Moore posted on Twitter on Saturday.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, the Rev. Al Sharpton, and other celebrities including Rosie Perez are also set to join New Yorkers in standing up to President-elect Donald Trump.

“We are sending a message to Washington that we will fight, at every step, discrimination and harmful policies, today, tomorrow and every day,” Ruffalo said in a statement obtained by the AP. He added that participants "are coming together to stand up for one another, as we will do every day, to protect the values we hold dear."

Moore, Ruffalo, and Baldwin have all been extremely vocal about their opposition to Trump since he announced his candidacy. Baldwin has especially gotten Trump's attention due to his portrayal of the real estate mogul turned politician on Saturday Night Live. Moore has also been known for his opposition to Trump as well as the Republican Party via social media.

Meanwhile, Ruffalo took to the streets of New York City to protest Trump's presidency after the election results came out in November, the Huffington Post notes.

The demonstration will especially focus on opposing Trump's policies on immigration, climate change, health care, workers' rights, and other issues.

The rally kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, outside the Trump International Hotel and Tower, which is located about a half-mile from Trump Tower, where the president-elect resides.
