Chris Christie Says He Has No Recollection of Any of His Aides Telling Him About Lane Closures

2016-11-07 12:40:04

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie maintained in an interview aired Monday that he has no recollection of any of his aides telling him about lane closures on the George Washington Bridge that were ultimately found to be a political retaliation plot. Two of Christie's former aides were convicted on Friday of causing epic traffic traffic jams for political revenge near the nation's busiest bridge, a verdict that further damages Christie's legacy and raised anew questions about why he and his inner circle escaped prosecution.
