Delta Plans Changes to Regional Jet Fleet

Delta Air Lines plans to purchase larger regional jets from Boeing at a cost of $2 billion.But according to a Bloomberg report, the commercial airliner is still waiting on the pilots' union to accept an overhaul of the regional fleet.Citing a memo sent internally, Bloomberg's report noted that Delta is looking to increasing the small fleet with up to 50 more planes.The smaller regional jets will have a seating range of 70 to 76 passengers.According to the report, the airline's current regional jets will be removed from the fleet over time.
