People suffering from kidney disease may see their medical costs decrease by increasing their consumption of fruits and vegetables.
According to a new study, a simply shift of nutrition can help some patients cut their required medications in half.
Conducted at the University of Texas, researchers found that dietary changes allowed for better management of blood pressure, diminishing the need for some medications.
In fact, the change in diet lowered the average systolic blood pressure better than those being treated with a medication.
