American University In Kabul Reportedly Attacked

On Wednesday night, Police were responding to reports of an attack at the American University of Afghanistan. The reports indicate that the attack may involve gunfire and an explosion. The Commander of the quick reaction forces in Kabul gave a statement saying "We have been notified of a complex attack on the American University on Darul-Aman Road." The police also clarified that they do not know the exact nature of the attack. One student reported that they were coming out of class when they heard gunfire. As they ran for cover, they were thrown to the ground by a massive explosion. A pulitzer prize winning photographer tweeted as he was trapped in the aftermath of the attack.
