Mayor Bloomberg, in a press conference on Monday morning, announced that all New York City public schools will be closed on Tuesday, October 30, due to further complications from Hurricane Sandy.
The mayor announced that the subway and bus systems are not expected to be opened by tomorrow morning, thereby forcing the closure of the city's public schools.
Private schools in the area, along with public schools in Long Island, are already starting to announce closures for tomorrow.

Comment: I totally support Mayor's decision on this. I hope we get off on Wednesday too because the weather looks really tough outside.
