Bernie Sanders Supporters March by the Thousands Across the Country

You may have missed it with the constant storm coverage in most of the country as Winter Storm Jonas dumped two feet of snow on most of the Mid-Atlantic states and New England, but the rest of the nation witnessing a massive out-pouring of support for Democratic candidate Senator Bernie Sanders. 

In Chicago, Portland, New Orleans, Buffalo, Boston and other cities around the country, hundreds and thousands came out to mark their support of the Vermont senator. 

The Portland march had a thousand participants, while thousands took to the streets in Chicago, in an event that was largely organized over social media. At least 1,100 came out to march in Boston, though images from the event show an even larger crowd. The event in Buffalo, New York, drew a crowd of 500 people despite the powerful winter storm that ravaged the state of New York. There were also marches in California, Colorado and Virginia, amongst other places. 

Bernie Sanders congratulated his supporters for making the "March for Bernie" event into such a success across the country. 

The Iowa caucus is a week away and Senator Sanders has been shown to have an advantage over Hillary Clinton in some recent polls.
