Apparently free dildos are not in the cards today for Manhattanites in the Flatiron District, despite promises from today’s Trojan Vibrations’ “Pleasure Carts” sex toy giveaway.
While Trojan Vibrations was set to hand out 10,000 high-end sex toys, totaling $540,000, today and tomorrow across New York City, reports are coming in from unhappy Flatiron District pleasure-seekers on the official Trojan Vibrations Facebook page that cops have shut down one of the two giveaway spots, allegedly because the company failed to secure a permit.
“Your event in 22 & 5th was shut down by police,” one commenter wrote. “The staff packed up and drove away without a word to the peoplle [sic] in line, leaving a whole block of people still unsatisfied! This lack of communication in handling this situation obviously had the opposite impact on potential customers than u anticipated.”
Several other unsatisfied participants also added their own experience, though some say the line is still holding due to communication problems. Meanwhile, Trojan is still holding events throughout the rest of today and tomorrow, as long as they are not also halted by the NYPD.
Currently, there is also a Pleasure Cart located at Pearl and Broad Streets in the Financial District until 6 p.m. Later this evening, from 7 to 10 p.m., one cart will be located in the East Village at 3rd Avenue between 12th and 14th Streets and another located at 14th Street and 10th Avenue in the fittingly-named Meatpacking District.
Locations and times for tomorrow’s giveaways have not yet been announced but will be available on Facebook. Meanwhile, there has been no comment from the Trojan Vibrations team regarding the NYPD shutdown.

Comment: Dunno what's up with that commenter - I was waiting in line as well, and a guy in a suit came over and told me and a bunch of people what was happening. Maybe he didn't get to everyone.
