Beaverton, Oreg., resident Elle Zober, 37, is displaying the fact that her husband of 10 years cheated on her in order to sell their formerly happy home.
“Husband left us for a 22-year-old,” the sign by the “scorned, slightly bitter, newly single” home owner reads.
She doesn’t fail to add, “adulterers need not apply.”
“We’re trying to differentiate our house, that it’s been well taken care of and upgraded,” Zober said. “It really was just tongue-in-cheek truth in advertising.”
She filed for divorce April 5, five days after she discovered her ex-husband had a mistress who is a “22-year-old college student who likes yoga.” The divorce was finalized in June.
Zober and her ex-husband shared the three-bedroom home with their two young children, a boy and a girl.
“I want people to know it was a family home,” Zober said. “It was well-loved and it was well taken care of. I want another family who will love it and care for it to move in.”
Apparently, her adulterer ex-husband is just fine with the sign that degrades him. He’s just interested in selling the house.
“I showed him the sign, and he said, ‘That’s hilarious, do it,’” Zober told the Daily News. “We want to sell this place and give our kids two homes, not one broken one.”
